In March 2022, After suffering from two strokes in the last 2 years, John was diagnosed with Diffuse large B-cell non Hodgkins lymphoma. John found out he had cancer when he went to the doctors office because he noticed he was losing his ability to hear out of one ear- and that is when they did a biopsy and confirmed it was cancer.

Anyone who knows John knows of his strength, and knows how much love and support he provides to his three children. John is a retired member of the RCMP with 20 years of service, and upon retiring he has been working as an heavy equipment operator in Alberta. Currently John is currently unable to work while undergoing intensive chemotherapy.

John persevered and fought each day to regain his mobility and speech after having two strokes, and he even went back to work as an equipment operator for the past few months. John’s family and friends have no doubts that he will fight this Cancer with everything that he has, as he’s never been known to give up.

John will have to be at multiple doctors appointments over the next few months, as he is closely monitored throughout chemotherapy. Due to his two previous strokes, there are limited treatment plans that the doctors can follow.

Our goal is to help John in any way possible so that he can focus on getting better.
