I'm Joe. I've been deaf for a good portion of my life ever since i was 6 years old. I also lived with my mother for a better part of my life and we had been dependent on eachother to survive right up until she passed away from COVID. I was able to make things work for the last 2 years, then it all came crashing down on me.

Work dried up. Employers stopped returning my emails or applications were left ignored. Now i'm in a position where i have no choice but to move. The rental house I have is in major disrepair (externally anyway) and there are more locations than not for wild animals to enter the basement, or even the attic space, and do their business. I do not have the funds to continue to stay here, for both my health and my sanity.

This Gofund me is largely to help me cover the costs of the move itself, which will consist mostly of first/last month's rent, and some extra to cover the utility transfer while I pay for my current rent.

I do not enjoy the idea of asking for assistance like this, but recent events have left me with little choice.
