My name is Fleurette Gagne, and I am starting up this GoFundMe for a very dear friend Jim Gamble—this is not the sort of thing I would usually do, but his situation is urgent, and because he has been a good friend to me for nearly twenty years, I have started this GoFundMe out of a desire to do whatever I can to help him in his time of need.

As a homesteading Alaskan, I have always admired Jim’s work ethic—he is a self-reliant person who started his own car repair business over six years ago. Through his diligence, commitment to excellence, and willingness to accommodate the individual needs of his customers, he has gained a loyal clientele, and he remains dedicated to providing honest, competent work for a fair price. Jim prides himself on the numerous five-star reviews he has earned over the years as well as the friendships that began as customers.

An unfortunate and unexpected health issue prompts me to sponsor this funding page—with no prior history or condition that would indicate it, Jim and his wife Carla were shocked to discover that he has a serious heart condition requiring immediate open-heart bypass surgery. It is no secret that medical care is extremely expensive, and Jim and Carla are now facing an avalanche of expenses just as his medical team informs him that recovery (without complications) will take at least six to eight weeks. Despite this distressing news, he remains in good spirits and is dedicated to doing all he can to return to work quickly and get back to serving his customers, advising them, and chatting about cars.
