An Unexpected Dental Bill I Can’t Manage Alone
Hi, I’m Jill, and I work at the University of Minnesota. I’ve always loved my job because it lets me support students and colleagues every day—usually with a smile. But recently, one of my front teeth broke, and it’s turned into a bigger issue than I expected. After having the remaining part of my tooth/root removed, my dentist of 14 years strongly recommended a "bridge" for me as the best way to go forward. With my age (mid-60s) and my front teeth needing sound support and durability, I trust her recommendation.
My cost after insurance is $4,200, which I just can’t afford.
This has been such a discouraging experience. Beyond the physical discomfort, losing my front tooth has made me incredibly self-conscious and has really affected my confidence at work and in everyday life.
I’m raising funds to help cover the cost of the dental procedure so I can move forward with my dentist’s advice.
It’s not easy to ask for help—I know everyone has their own challenges—but I would be so grateful for any support you can give, whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for caring enough to help me smile again.
— Jill
