Hi, my name is Karen, and I’m fundraising for my colleague and friend, Jésus Lozano, and his family.

Jésus and his family were recently impacted by severe flooding in Montería, Colombia. Their home was flooded and they were forced to evacuate. They have lost almost everything inside due to water damage.

The photo on this page shows Jésus trying to salvage what little he can from their home.

Jésus works with me at Ascendis as a ServiceNow developer and software engineer. While I live in Canada and he lives in Colombia, we work closely together every day. He is one of the smartest, most dedicated, and genuinely caring people I have the privilege of working with. He consistently shows up for our team and our clients — and now he needs others to show up for him.

Right now, Jésus, his brother, and his parents are staying separately with friends because their home is not safe to return to. In addition to the flood damage, there have been reports of break-ins in the affected area, making it even more urgent for them to secure what few belongings they were able to save and find stable housing as quickly as possible.

I am setting up this fundraiser because, being in Canada, this is the most meaningful way I can provide support during this incredibly difficult time.
