Donate to help Jesse Kopesky with medical bills

Hello,

My name is Nate and I'm one of Jesse's four siblings. On Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, Jesse was on his way home from a doctor's appointment in Crandon, WI when he was in a motorcycle accident. Jesse left the roadway, was ejected from the motorcycle, and got tangled up in powerpole guide wires. A kind motorist stopped to help and Jesse was eventually transported by helicopter to the level 1 trauma center in Wausau, WI.

While the crash could've been so much worse, Jesse has a significant road to recovery. He suffered 11 fractured vertebrae in his thoracic and lumbar spine. His right shoulder blade was also fractured and may need surgery as significant pain, numbness, and weakness continue. He has a fractured sinus. Many of his teeth are fractured, chipped, or broken which will require complete dentures to fix. Jesse further suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee. It is still unknown if surgery will be required to fix his knee.

On July 5th, Jesse came home, and while that is huge the bills (and the reason for this fundraiser) have started to arrive. $41,000 for the flight-for-life and $45,000 for the hospital stay are the two biggest so far. Given the current injuries, surgeries will be required and those will come at great expense. For several reasons, Jesse didn't have insurance and unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is anything that can be done about the expenses around the accident and hospital stay.

If you know Jesse, you know he is super giving: both of his time and with what money he has. He is always ready to help and cares deeply for others. It's why Jesse is a Volunteer Firefighter for the Wabeno Volunteer Fire Department. It's why so many people know him. Anything you can give will help.
