On behalf of our father, my sister and I are asking for your support. As some of you may know, our dad was diagnosed with cancer last spring. This diagnosis spiraled him into a number of life changes, one of which was a change in his living situation. Our dad asked that he be able to stay in Hudson, WI so we placed him in an assisted living facility by the name of Cambridge. While this change has been a great benefit to both his physical and mental well-being, it has drained him of all his savings and he was placed on Medicaid earlier this year to help supplement his monthly payments.

Through his Medicaid case worker, my sister and I have recently been made aware that our father fell for an internet scam and has given months of his pension and social security money away to this scammer (money that was supposed to be used towards supplementing his room and board at Cambridge). Additionally, we also uncovered that he took out a loan to help with payments to this scammer. As a result of months without any payments to his Medicaid supplement, he is now at risk of being kicked out of Cambridge and has until 10/31 to start paying his debt down, or risks homelessness and loss of care that he so desperately needs.

It is with deepest shame and regret that we ask for your assistance, whatever it may be, to help our father. Given the nature of this scam, I will be taking these donations directly and forwarding all funds to the MCW partnering team. No amount is too small, as we have been told that any payment is better than none however, without help, it will take him years to recoup what he owes.
