Donations for Jean Ferguson fighting Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Jean has done so much better than her doctors expected! She is unable to work and her disability does not cover basic needs. Any help is appreciated. God Bless everyone who has helped.

Hello everyone. If you are an Islander or a graduate of Charlottetown Rural High Class of 1980. You remember Jean Ferguson. Just after graduation Jean moved west and is still "out west", she is actually in Victoria. She has two wonderful children and has made the other side of Canada her home. But, her heart is in PEI and she desires to get home this summer to see her dad and her siblings and to grieve the recent passing of her mom with her family. Cancer is a cruel disease and her mom just passed away from lung cancer and her dad currently has lung cancer. Jean has stage 4 lung cancer and has been given a limited time to live. She has remained cheerful and optimistic since her diagnosis. She is determined to fight and win against all odds. She has championed chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy on her own. She lives alone and has no family nearby. Imagine battling by yourself. Her bravery astonishes me.

In life, we can make a difference. We can be the person. The hope. The prayer for others. If you can find it in your heart, please donate to this cause. Jean is a hard worker and for the first time in her life she is unable to work( I worked with her at McDonald's back in the day) she hates accepting handouts. I sent her funds for a cab the other day and practically had to break her arm, to get her to accept the help. She is proud and humble. We are all here on earth to leave an impression. To do something good for others. So whatever you can give. I appreciate it and I know Jean will as well. I have not seen her since high school but I remember that bubbly girl and social media has kept us in touch.
