My friend Jamie Petrekovich, only 34yrs old and was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer (ER+, PR+, HER2+) last month. She has a 2cm mass in her Right breast with metastasis to the right axillary lymph nodes. She starts chemotherapy in 2 weeks . This is just the beginning of a long journey with hope the cancer will respond to the treatment. Her whole families world has turned upside down. With young children she is worried. I want to help ease the financial side of this burden for her and her family. With our help she can focus on fighting this battle with less worry about finances. She is a Mom, Wife and RN. In her career as an RN and with her family she is so caring and always taking care of others and now she could use our help to take care of her. She is not one to ask for help but in this time of need she needs all the support she can get.
Anything that you can give helps, no amount is too small and even a share is appreciated. Thank you in advance. These funds will help with medical and living expenses during this time.
Her Story:
She found a lump in her Right Armpit back in February. A Ct scan showed 3 enlarged lymph nodes. Recommended biopsy of the largest once to rule out Lymphoma and Metastatic Disease. The biopsy results came back Breast Cancer Cells. They found a 2cm mass in the Right Breast that they biopsied. That is where the cancer originated from that spread to the right axillary lymph nodes. This week she met with Oncology and scheduled a few more scans (Bone scan, Additional Ct scans, and MRI) to make sure the cancer has not spread anywhere else in the body.
