My name is Chad Boylen, and I’m currently living in Jamaica. I’ve launched this fundraiser to help Jamaican families and communities affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Who This Is For
This campaign is for the people of Jamaica whose homes, food supplies, and basic resources were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Melissa. Many communities are still without stable access to food, clean water, and electricity, and families are struggling to recover in the aftermath.
❤️ My Relationship to the People I’m Helping
I’m on the ground in Jamaica, working directly with locals in the hardest-hit areas to identify who needs help the most. I personally purchase and distribute supplies with the help of community volunteers, ensuring that donations go directly into the hands of those who need them right now.
How the Funds Will Be Used
All donations are deposited into my verified bank account and used exclusively for recovery supplies. Funds will cover:
Emergency food – rice, peas, canned goods, flour, and cooking oil
Water & hygiene – bottled water, soap, toothpaste, sanitary items
Relief materials – tarps, clothing, flashlights, and first-aid items
Transport & delivery – local travel to reach remote or flooded communities
Each relief run typically costs $700–$1,000 USD, depending on distance and the number of families served.
Transparency & Updates
I’ll continue posting photos, videos, and receipts showing every purchase and delivery so donors can see exactly how their contributions are used. My goal is full transparency and real-world impact — person to person, family to family.
Why This Matters
Hurricane Melissa has left many people without basic necessities. Together, we can help them rebuild and stay nourished through this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward keeping people fed, sheltered, and hopeful.
Thank you for caring about the people of Jamaica and for helping bring light back to the island after the storm.
With gratitude,
Chad Boylen
