Donate to help Sarah and Jacob

Hi, my name is Melanie, a lifelong friend to the Till clan, and I am fundraising to help Sarah be able to stay in Vancouver and be with/take care of Jacob, her son, as he recovers from his mountain bike accident. Jacob is a truly kind and gentle soul who loves his family and a good adventure. One of his favourite adventures is Mountain biking, a true passion for Jacob, but he experienced a horrific accident on Monday that resulted in him being airlifted to Vancouver. Emergency imaging via CT and MRI has revealed multiple fractures throughout his body including his clavicle, ribs, hands and several throughout his spine. He also suffers from muscle and tendon tears, a neck injury, traumatic liver injury and difficulty maintaining his oxygen levels. Following a 8+ hour surgery to stabilize his injuries Jacob is now in traction and requires constant monitoring and assistance.  Sarah has not left Jacob’s side since his accident and surgery. Her presence with him is essential.   His team of physicians and surgeons are estimating it will be several months before he will be able to leave the hospital. But, in order for Sarah to be able to support Jacob, she needs our help!  I hope to raise enough funds that she does not have to worry about choosing between her job and her ability to pay bills (rent, power, insurance, etc, plus the added expense of staying in Vancouver) and taking care of Jacob and his younger brother awaiting his return home. Until he is able to be at home, cooking and dancing to the ever-playing music in her kitchen with the whole family once again, please help take the financial stressors off her shoulders. Thank you!
