Hi all, I’m fundraising for Jackie, a trusted community organizer who has been running Operation Healthy Hearts in the SGV since 2012. We’re raising funds to support her work and other living and legal expenses that may arise as Fox News and the NY Post has been running a smear campaign against her organization.

Operation Healthy Hearts started after my own experiences with hardship. Navigating my way back, I saw the deep gaps in support-not just for people experiencing homelessness, but for those on the brink. Food banks lacked fresh, culturally relevant options, and the resources I needed simply were not there. In 2012, I took action, launching Operation Healthy Hearts from a small backhouse at a local church. For five years, I provided meals, haircuts, and showers, earning the trust of my community. By 2017, LA County invited me to partner on a pilot at Whittier Narrows. Now, in 2025, after more than a decade of hands-on service, I continue to fight for dignity, access, and real solutions—because I know firsthand what's at stake."
