On December 13 2022, Ivaylo Valov, Superintendent at Royal Niagara GC, had a massive stroke while in Buffalo, NY. He remains in the ICU at Buffalo General. Ivaylo is a career superintendent and has been an active member of the Niagara and Southern Ontario Superintendents network for over 20 years.
And now Ivaylo needs our help.
Ivaylo had emergency surgery in Buffalo that day and is currently there in recovery as he builds enough strength and stability to be moved to a hospital in Ontario.
Once he is transferred from Buffalo, Ivaylo’s wife, Janet, and daughter, Alex, will be working with specialists and therapists to get Ivaylo back to good health so that he can be reunited with his grandson, Marcus, who means the world to him. This requires substantial assistance to help with his care and recovery, particularly once he is out of hospital and begins his rehabilitation.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
