I am Ismail, a photojournalist who has been documenting the truth since the very first day of the war. Through my lens, I chose to show the world the suffering, the pain, and the human stories that should never be silenced.

I have been injured more than once, but I never stopped. My body carries scars, yet my spirit carries determination. The camera that once told the stories of people’s struggles is now broken. My equipment is destroyed, and with it, a part of my life. Still, my mission goes on.

Today, all I ask for is the chance to continue. I need new equipment, and I need the basics to survive so I can keep doing my work.

I have lost so much already—but I cannot lose my ability to tell the truth.

All I want is to keep capturing reality… to remain a voice for those who cannot be heard.
