Donate to help Ian and Megan McKay's medical expenses

Hi everyone, my name is Rob Ratkowski. I'm the Airport Director at Glacier Park International Airport.
My friend and Deputy Director, Ian McKay (who is only 34 years old and the father of two young boys) was recently diagnosed with invasive thyroid cancer and is undergoing significant surgeries and treatment for three weeks at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He will also have another trip to Arizona for follow-up treatment. Even after our company insurance helps with the bills, Ian and his wife Megan will have significant out of pocket expenses related to travel and medical costs.
Ian's coworkers and I are starting this fundraiser to help them defray a portion of their medical and travel expenses. We set a funding goal of $11,000 using the following assumptions:
Initial Trip
- Out-of-pocket medical - $3,000
- Airfare to Phoenix - $1,400 ($350 x 4 people)
- Lodging during surgery and recovery - $3,150 ($150/night for 21 nights)
- Food and sundries - $1,050 ($50/day for 21 days)
Follow-up Trip (appx 6 weeks later)
- Airfare to Phoenix - $700 ($350 x 2 people)
- Lodging - $1,050 ($150/night for 7 nights)
- Food and sundries - $350 ($50/day for 7 days)
I would ask you to consider contributing whatever amount you feel moved to donate. All net proceeds after GFM fees (approximately $300) will go directly to Ian and Megan, even if we don't meet the goal.
