On November 22nd 2025. We received the call that would change our life’s forever. My brother was killed due to gun violence. As we grieve the tragic loss of my brother, Keawon Solomon. Our hearts are shattered, something no family should ever have to experience before the holidays.

Keawon was full of love, laughter, and potential. He was the kind of person who could brighten your day with just a smile or a joke. He was bold, courageous and a risk taker at a young age. We expected to grow old with him, not to plan his funeral. Losing him this way has left us devastated, confused, and struggling to find peace. No parent on earth should experience the feeling of burying their child.

Gun violence takes far too many lives, and now it has knocked on our doors. We appreciate every prayer, every message, and every bit of love sent our way as we navigate this unimaginable loss.
