Donate to help Heather Burch
Hi, my name is Cindy Kirk and I'm fundraising to help my good buddy and fellow author, Heather Burch.
Heather is one of the most wonderful women I have ever known. Exceedingly kind and generous, always willing to go the extra mile for a friend, or a stranger. She is one of those people who stops to help a person pick up something they’ve dropped or hold the door open when a person is struggling to get through.
When her husband had to go back to school because he could no longer physically perform his duties, she gave up her writing career to take a full-time job to support him for the year it would take for him to be back in the workforce. But being a contract laborer, she was without insurance. Having no insurance didn’t seem to be an issue. Not when it would only be for a year. Once he went back to work, they would be covered by his employer. In their early fifties, they were young and healthy and took good care of their bodies.
Never, ever, did they think that a visit to an emergency room would result in an unthinkable diagnosis for Heather—a brain tumor! She has been given 3 months to live.
The changes in her brain make continued work impossible for her. Her husband quit school to spend whatever time she has remaining with her. Their love for each other is their comfort and her strength.
Despite the odds stacked against her and a mountain of medical debt that is sure to only grow, Heather—truly the nicest person you will ever meet—spends more time worrying about her husband and family than about herself and a life that may be cut tragically short.
Her family is in a state of shock and attempting to cope with the situation. We hope to provide funding to help Heather and her family pay for all the related expenses so her final days will be spent living life, with her heart wide open and her head held high.
Please contribute generously to this worthy cause. Also, please share this funding page with anyone who wants to make a difference.
