Hi all, my name is Jesse from Montreal-based band Hearts of Palm. I'm organizing this fundraiser for my beautiful friends in our band and in Dante's Paradise, who are going on tour in Ontario this July.

Both bands, with a special shoutout to our manager Sammy, have put in so much work to make this possible by booking venues, finding bands, planning the itinerary and the backyards we'll sleep in. And I'm so grateful for that, because it means I can go play music in 5 new cities and with my friends Minna and Quinn (and everyone) who were just playing around with synths in Quinn's bedroom two years ago, and everyone else. I feel incredibly lucky to have the chance to play our music outside of Montreal (finally seeing the province Minna loves to write about) and that everyone has chosen to take off work, school, and good sleep to share the new records that both bands put out this April after a year or more of thought, sweat, love and expenses. As the adopted Canadian I hope I've become, this tour will help grow our audience into another province and realize some dreams at the same time.

This fundraiser will help us pay for the car rentals we'll need to get across Ontario in 1 week, giving us much needed aid with the time many of us are taking off work to be able to do this. Everything we do with Yapdog Records is grassroots, and we just need the transportation to be able to experience and build connections in other local scenes outside of Montreal. Music is everywhere for those with ears to see.
