I am Aaron Costa and I am the owner of Krudco Skateshop. Myself, my employees and the Krudco family have started this page to help Greg with an unexpected dental bill caused by a childhood injury.

Greg’s Story

At the age of 14, Greg was involved in a skateboarding accident. During an awkward fall his skateboard struck him in the face. The impact of the board hitting his face resulted in the loss of his original front teeth and damage to three others. He found the original teeth and raced to the dentist who was able to re-set them. For many years these teeth remained strong and held multiple bridges. However, the initial trauma caused the remaining original teeth to periodically break. Over time, this resulted in less teeth exposed to hold a bridge in place. In March 2024 the last original tooth that was holding the bridge in place broke. The fracture is under the gum line and there is nothing available to support a new bridge. This means that for Greg’s teeth to be fully recovered and function normally he will need two implants and five new front teeth. This process requires multiple visits to the dentist and oral surgery.

Greg is an adjunct instructor at both Drexel and Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he teaches courses in Communication and Anthropology. This occupation, although rewarding in terms of helping his students succeed, does not provide him with dental insurance nor pay a wage that allows him to easily cover unexpected medical expenses without incurring considerable debt. He has investigated loans and a Care Credit plan to help pay for the procedures, however the best-case scenario would be for him to not end up in debt. Due to that, our goal is to gather our community of friends and family to help ease the stress of dental bills piling up for Greg at a total price of $18,700.00.
