Hi, my name is Rachael & I have started this fundraiser with the hope of raising funds to replace a caravan recently lost in a fire along with a truck today, 70kms out of Kalgoorlie. The Caravan & truck belonged to my father-in-law, Gino, who is still coming to terms with this tragedy.

Gino is a small time prospector from Kalgoorlie & had been living in his caravan full time to travel & prospect around the goldfields. Today while travelling back from Menzies, his truck had somehow caught fire (cause is still unknown) & before there was time to do anything, everything was gone. The truck had a small load on the back which unfortunately included a diesel fuel pod 1/3 full which caused the fire to spread rapidly. Although the truck was filled with all of his tools, generator & prospecting gear, it’s been the hardest to come to terms with losing his caravan in the fire, it was his home, his most precious belongings all inside. Everything happened so fast with no time to even think of saving anything & unfortunately the truck & caravan were not insured, no one could have ever expected such tragedy to happen.

I’m am asking for small donations or just a share of this page, we are not expecting to replace his caravan with something of the same value, just something he can live in & make into a home again.
