Donate to help get Gilmour treatment

Hey everyone. Our boy Gilmour needs some healing vibes and prayers sent his way.

We took him in to the vet after a couple days of him being extremely lethargic, not wanting to eat, not grooming himself and barely drinking water. We assumed he had a giant hairball blocking his intestines because Gil has a bad habit of pulling tufts of hair out and sometimes eats it

Unfortunately what we learned was a little more serious- Gil has 2 masses near his stomach that are causing him a lot of pain. One of his kidneys is 30% larger than it should be and his creatinine levels are 1400 when they are supposed to be around 150 which points to acute kidney failure. The Summerside Animal Hospital was amazing to take him in today and quick to do all the testing to try to get to the bottom of this but ultimately had to consult the radiography specialist as the masses could be cancer.

We love our boy so so much and will do anything in our power to keep him with us for as long as we can and for as long as he is not suffering. Our hearts are absolutely breaking thinking we could lose him.

That being said, we have been given a quote of $2000-$3000 to be seen by the specialist at AVC today and upwards of $8000-$10,000 for further treatment depending on the diagnos(es). This is a lot of money for anyone, especially with the cost of living these days. If you can afford to donate, we would be so grateful.
