Donate for Waylon’s Treatment

Waylon J. Reeves is our almost 3 year old hero. He has had many complications since birth including failure to thrive and gross developmental delays. At 2 years old he was still unable to walk or talk. Because of his delays he is currently involved in speech, feeding, occupational, and physical therapy 6+ times a week. We have seen slow and small progress, thankful for it no less. But we knew something was still off, more than delays.

After long waitlist and testing Waylon was diagnosed with mod/severe autism February 25th 2022. We were discharged with paperwork that basically stated his potential would top out at basic life skills. Our world crumbled. We refuse to believe that this was it. We know he has God given potential. After relentless research we were referred to Apex Brain Center in Asheville, NC. Immediately upon speaking with them, the physician was able to help me understand clearly that the reason behind the lagging therapy results is that we’re trying to build a house without a foundation. He formulated a complete treatment plan for him which includes him being in Asheville for 2 weeks, 5 days a week, 4 hours a day with the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). This intense brain training will help improve cognitive and physical abilities. They have an opening the end of May and our goal is to get him there but they can not reserve his spot without a $2000/wk deposit. Which is where we need your help. With the brain, early intervention is everything. 85% of the brain development occurs by age 5, so you can see our window for grand scale improvement is closing. This treatment could change the quality and trajectory of Waylon’s life, but this medical treatment is not covered by insurance. If you are moved to do so, would you please give to help him receive this medical treatment. The total for his 10-day treatment including HBOT is $10,572.50.

We trust you will bless those that give and those who can’t, we pray for our journey, that Waylon’s story will leave a legacy for autistic generations to come.
