Let me tell you about Kairi. A strong, intelligent, funny, and beautiful young man; who loved to watch movies, play Xbox and basketball, and spoil his cat, Nala, rotten. Kairi spent his life battling chronic kidney disease but never let it steal his joy. On a given day he could be found playing video games with his cousins, fighting his sister over the ketchup, quoting Star War
s as though he starred in each film and creating Lego masterpieces. He was careful with his smiles, but if you were lucky, you got one that you knew was real.
Kairi was loved by all who crossed his path, so it was lucky he was born into such a large, tight-knit family. He will be loved and missed, forever, by so many.
The plan was never for Kairi to be taken away, let alone so suddenly. He was rich in love, but no recently turned 18 year old has a life insurance fund. In order to continue his legacy of quiet love, we do need to ask for some help. Planning a funeral is never easy, planning one for your child is devastating. All I'm asking for is help for a grieving family, to lay to rest their beloved son. Any little bit helps and is appreciated. Any emotional support and care is deeply appreciated as well.
(Please note, I am a family friend and this is to assist Kairi's family (specifically his grandparents, Mary and Jose Matias) with funeral costs).
