We are fundraising money to help Tyler Hutchinson and his family fund this road to recovery. Tyler was a passenger in a car wreck on Sept. 13th. The vehicle flipped numerous times and he was trapped in the vehicle until paramedics cut him out. He suffered fractures in the C5-7 and T1-2 vertebrae. He underwent a posterior cervical fusion laminectomy procedure involving the insertion of pins and screws into the neck to stabilize it and create space for swelling. Currently, Tyler is experiencing immobility in his legs but retains sensation. He is struggling with fine motor skills and remains on oxygen, undergoing respiratory therapy to strengthen his lungs. The next steps include intensive physical and occupational therapy with the goal of gaining admission to the renowned Shepherd Center in Atlanta, one of the top 10 neuro-rehabilitation facilities in the country. We are hopeful that this intensive therapy will eventually enable Tyler to regain the ability to walk. We are raising money for medical bills and travel expenses.
