Donate to help fund Long Covid clinical trial
Tax deductible
Will you help us make a difference for Long Covid patients around the world?
We’re raising money to benefit the non-profit organization Research-Aid Networks. The donations will go towards funding a clinical trial that will test our recently published hypothesis on the mechanism of Long Covid (PACS or post-COVID), and potentially other chronic illnesses.
Your contribution to this cause would mean a lot to us at Research-Aid Networks, as well as the patients we can help by doing research into this disease. It will enable us to start a clinical trial to test different diagnostics and treatments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic we have connected with and supported Long Covid communities from around the world. We have assisted these Long Covid groups in getting the word out on this debilitating disease, initiating research and more.
These patient advocates have regularly asked us for assistance in correcting cases of misinformation and/or misrepresentation of data in research studies and in the media, or support for their ongoing projects. They also reached out to us with specific research questions that were missed by other researchers, such as what the effects of vaccination on Long Covid symptoms would be (before the vaccine rollout). Throughout the pandemic we’ve worked hard to gather data to provide answers to these questions, to properly inform the public on the long term effects of COVID-19, and respond to or correct misinformation whenever possible.
Eventually, we unfortunately came to suffer from the long term effects of this disease ourselves. This led us to intensify our quest to figure out what exactly Long Covid is, and how we could heal from it. It put us on a wild goose chase through decades of research into post-viral diseases that gave us little bits of a larger puzzle. We also had many conversations with other patients that were suffering from either Long Covid or other post-viral illnesses and spoke with (patient) researchers from different fields.
In the beginning of 2022 we stumbled upon a potential mechanism that could explain every single symptom that’s been reported in Long Covid. Ever since, we’ve been working tirelessly to put this elaborate mechanism on paper, to be able to share it with the world.
In April 2023 we published a paper based on this mechanism in the journal Frontiers in Immunology: Hypothesis: inflammatory acid-base disruption underpins Long Covid

We are currently planning a clinical trial as well as working on other follow-up research based on this mechanism. However, clinical trials are expensive to do, and we could use your help in making it happen. That's why we're asking for donations with this crowdfunding campaign.
We sincerely hope you are willing to support us so we can trial different diagnostics and therapeutics for Long Covid.
