The Mayer Family (Lauren Mayer)

Hello, my name is Miranda Ziegler. My sister is Lauren Mayer. She is married to Nick Mayer and has 2 beautiful little boys. Cameron (5 years old) and Kip (20 months old).

 

On May 19th 2022, Lauren had a Chest CT for ongoing chest pain and difficultly breathing. They saw a large mass near her heart and told her to immediately go to the emergency room. This led to many tests and an admission to the ICU. They told her there was a mass that needed a biopsy. After the biopsy we had hope that it was Hodgkins lymphoma which would be simple to treat: But to our surprise it was not this.

 

On May 27th she was diagnosed with T-lymphoblastic Lymphoma. An aggressive form of lymphoma/leukemia.

 

She has just been admitted to the Cleveland Clinic for an intense chemotherapy regimen. The tumor is right in front of her heart and is too large to operate on at this time. She will be in the hospital for at least 30 days. The doctors said this year is going to be very hard.

 

This is going to place a significant financial burden on her family as she will not be able to work. They told her the chemotherapy will wipe her out physically.

 

Anything you can give will help them so much!

 

In addition we are asking for prayers of healing physically and mentally.

 

This is going to be a long journey but we believe God will pull her through.
