First off, thanks for taking the time to read this. If you don't already know, Forrest is our boxer dog who is almost 4 years young. He is full of energy and loves being outside. Unfortunately, Forrest injured his back knee. Despite restricting his activity, he is still limping. The vet says he needs surgery to fix his doggy "ACL". The surgery is going to cost $5,500. If Forrest doesn't get the surgery, he won't be able to run, jump and play and his activity will need to be restricted long-term. We could use any help you can give; a little goes a long way. If you are interested in donating, I'd like to share a story.

 

A little shy of 4 years ago, Ryan went to rehab to get help for his drinking. He always said, "if I go to rehab, can we get a dog." Needless to say, after 30 days in rehab, Ryan had a pretty big surprise waiting. When we pulled up to the gate to pick Ryan up, I grabbed Forrest from the car, hopped out and watched Ryan's face as he saw our new family member. I will never forget that smile. Since then, Forrest has been more than just a dog; he's our best friend and baby boy. Forrest is Ryan's sober dog and I am happy to say Ryan hasn't had a drink since.

 

Forrest has had a significant impact on my life as well. He has brought me joy on both the good days and the bad. His energy keeps you going and his personality always makes you smile. Forrest means the world to us. He is trully a blessing and we can't stand seeing him in pain. We just want to give him the best life possible because he has given us so much already.
