On October 7th both a tragedy and a miracle happened. Faris had a major heart attack at the young age of 39. Faris was a seemingly young and healthy man until he collapsed suddenly while working. People around him instantly started chest compressions and quickly found out he had no pulse. Once the ambulance had arrived he was taken to a local emergency room where he continue to be in cardiac arrest for over 90 minutes and was shocked over 15 times to get him to have a regular heart beat and a steady pulse.
Once somewhat stable yet still very critical his loved ones were told he could very well be a organ donor or a vegetable at this point. Some hour la had passed and was transferred to a cardiovascular critical care unit, where they continued to work on him for the next 24 hours. Things were looking very bleak at this time for Faris. Not only was everyone unsure he was going to survive this but if he did, what would the quality of his life be.
He was placed on an induced coma. During this time the doctors were sure he had suffered some brain damage, which could results as loss of all cognitive ability and possible paralysis.
And to everyone’s surprise FARIS opened his eye on October 11th at 9:30 am. Not only that but he had all of his motor skills and functions and almost all cognitive abilities. It was truly a miracle. Only 5% people who had the same lethal arrhythmia that Faris had, survive. To this day doctors are still trying to find out why this happened to him. As there was no family history of heart problems and no drugs or alcohol found in his system.
But he was far from out of the woods. He had a slew over other medical issues surrounding this incident. Such as kidney failure, blood clots, and a broken leg.
He was officially released from the hospital on October 28th. But that was really just the beginning of his problems. With this major health issue occurring he has been out of work for almost a month and there is no date for when he can possibly return to work.
Faris has applied for disability benefits but this is a very lengthy process and could take up to a year to receive any benefits. He has paid for rent for November with the last bit of money he had. He now fears he may be homeless next month because he cannot pay rent.
On top of an already awful situation, the mounting medical bills he has acquired and that will continue to grow. He has continuing care such as dialysis 3x a week and surgery for his broken leg, continued physical therapy and daily visits from a registered nurse.
Faris is going to need as much help as he can get . Faris is the first to help anyone in need and is the very last person to ask for help. On his behalf I’m asking all of you that CAN help to PLEASE help.
Thank you for all the love and continued support.
