Hi, my name is Emily, I'm 16 years old, and I need your help to raise some vital funds to support the children in zanzibar and help me contribute to changing a child's life. My school is giving me an opportunity to volunteer in a rural part of zanzibar, where I will work supporting teaching in a local school as well as a project to support the development of a new school building. By volunteering, I will help teachers to set and mark homework and deliver lessons and also to help support small groups of students with their work. Additionally, outside of the volunteering I will experience the zanzibar culture more thoroughly to have a deeper understanding of the daily life of those in zanzibar. This is a key experience for me as I believe it is important to help those less fortunate and also to provide support to giving a better education to those who don't have it.

We take it for granted that we are fortunate enough to learn in a fun and safe environment with our friends/peers and have all the equipment we need to help us progress. Having the opportunity to go to zanzibar will help us appreciate what a privilege it is to live and learn in the UK and give us an opportunity to engage with children from a different culture. We hope to raise enough money to fund the experience and we will be holding fund raising events over the next 12 months.I am looking for any donations however big or small to help me to go on this trip in 2027.
