Donate to help Elias

On August 24, 2023 Elias was diagnosed with liver cancer. It wasn’t until a couple days after his biopsy that we found out that he had Hepatoblastoma. Not a lot is known about this type of cancer besides that it’s a rare cancer. Elias was initially going in for a physical to start school this year. His pediatrician seen his stomach was distended and told us to go to Providence emergency. Elias fought 5 hard months straight in the hospital. At first we had hope and kept receiving great news. We were looking at going to Seattle because his tumor was shrinking, and then Seattle asked for his scans again and said they couldn’t perform a surgery because it was high risk. Elias’s oncologist reached out to Cincinnati and the answer remained the same. January 4, 2024 his oncologist had a meeting with us to let us know that Elias is loosing his battle with cancer and said sending him home to be comfortable would be better off for him. We had to sign a DNR for him and it’s so hard on all of us. Elias life expectancy is a couple weeks to a couple months. His mom was let go from her job a couple months ago for “not prioritizing her job” while we were in the hospital with our son. My job doesn’t have insurance to give me medical leave. I misses out on so much of Elias growing up with working tirelessly for years when he was younger. I feel as I have robbed my son valuable time with working all the time and now I have very limited time with him and don’t want to loose any more.. These funds will be used to help us create more memories with Elias with the valuable time he has left with us.. anything helps. Prayers, thoughts, love.
