This GoFundMe is to support Ed and Julie Klinsky.

 

Ed is a Santa Cruz county local of 35+ years who has a kind and courageous heart for his community. He is always ready to speak of the love of Jesus and about God's goodness to anyone who will listen.

 

In November 2021 Ed got sick, and dehydrated and had to go to the hospital. After battling pneumonia, he developed multiple blood clots that led to an ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke that left him unresponsive. The doctors gave a very grim prognosis, they thought he might have 2 days to 2 weeks to live.

 

But a few days after this Ed had a remarkable improvement. He woke up, started drinking and eating some, and was motioning and acknowledging things.

 

Since then he has been on a long road to recovery. He has made some progress, most importantly, he's stable, but there are many challenges. He has to relearn everything, including how to speak, which as you can imagine can be so frustrating at times. His right leg and right hand are affected. The best progress thus far is he is starting to be able to walk small distances with assistance. His right arm and hand are still dormant and we're taking one day at a time.
