After two years of waiting on the transplant list, Sunday morning, October 27th, 2024 Doug received the anticipated call. He would undergo a double lung transplant along with a single bypass on his heart the following morning. After a 10 hour surgery Doug was admitted to critical care ICU per recovery protocol. 24 hours later he endured a traumatic setback, and currently has a very long recovery ahead of him.

Doug’s significant other and eldest daughter have been staying at the hospital since then, while other family have been taking care of Doug’s 12 year old daughter.

In this time we are asking for financial support to help cover costs of gas, hotel, rent/utilities, and groceries to help support his significant other and 12 year old daughter.
