As you probably know if you've landed on this page, our precious Doug has incurable cancer in his abdomen and has started on his course of chemotherapy and steroids to help give him the best length and quality of life as possible. We have been told that the best we can hope for is 12 months but of course we are hopeful and staying positive throughout this.

Doug is having to have specifically made medication (of course - expected nothing less of Doug) and unfortunately our insurance will not cover the cost. If we manage to get an extra year with Doug, which is what the vets are hopeful of as best case scenario, the costs could exceed £6,000. 

Although the treatment will be expensive, we of course are going to keep going with it as long as Doug still has a good quality of life and is not in pain. We didn’t intend on making a page like this, however, since breaking the news to you all about Doug and his upcoming battle, we have had a lot of messages and comments saying that people want to be able to help us and him during this time so we have set up this page.

You absolutely do not have to donate anything if you cannot afford it, please look after yourselves first, especially with the current climate we are all in. But if you would like to help Doug and us, we would be forever grateful.
