Donate to Help Displaced Gazan Families

Hi, I’m Amy, and I’ve been running for about eight years now. On a bit of a whim, I decided to sign up for a half marathon that’s taking place just around the corner from my home in Amstelveen ‍. With only two weeks left to train (the event is on 16th March), I’m fitting in runs whenever I can. ‍♀️

I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for families displaced from Gaza. A former colleague of mine, Niamh (shoutout to her!), has been working tirelessly for over a year and a half to support these families—organising fundraisers in the Netherlands and also doing hands-on work in Cairo. I truly admire her and the incredible work the community around her has done, and I wanted to contribute in some way.

Niamh has kindly shared her knowledge and experience with various charities she’s worked closely with; for example the Sameer Project and Dahnoun Mutual Aid. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll decide where to donate the funds based on the most urgent needs at the time, and I’ll be giving the money to one of the organisations she recommended.
