Dear Friends and Family,

Diane woke up on Christmas Day with a significant loss of vision in her right eye. After multiple visits to experts, including those at Wills Eye in Philadelphia, the conclusion is that she has Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (NAION). There is no specific treatment protocol for this and her window for regaining sight is about 6 months. At this time, she is unable to drive and is limited on “screen time” due the stress and fatigue it causes. As you know, Diane is a graphic artist and this event has greatly impacted her ability to work. In addition, the treatments that she is currently receiving are costly and exhausting. We are asking her friends to come together and help support her through this setback until she can hopefully regain some functional sight and her brain can adapt to this change. Diane has always been there for her friends and family, now it is our turn to show support for her.
