Please help my deceased nephew get home.

Hi, my name is Manny and I'm fundraising for my nephew, Christopher Gomez.

What I have to share is heartbreaking for our family, yet we know that our Faith and Love toward God will help us through. This is about helping my nephew Christopher Gomez get back to Texas.

My nephew Christopher was a loving and caring person. He loved his siblings and his mother very much to where he stepped up and helped maintain their close nit family by accepting the role of the man of the house at a tender age due to extenuating circumstances. He would always make sure everything was good at home no matter what challenges came along. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He was also an excellent cook and one of his dreams was to own his own restaurant one day. He was always a very hard-working man and a good person. He had a big heart and loved helping other people wherever he could. He is so loved and will be so missed.

My sister Rosy and her family had talked about going to Minnesota to visit our mother because she was ill and was unable to travel to them in Texas, even though she wanted to see them. So, my sister, Christopher and the rest of the family decided to surprise our mother and went. Our mom cried tears of joy and was truly surprised and happily overwhelmed. We did not know it at the time, but our mom got sick and eventually passed away. So we know it was more than a beautiful blessing for everyone that night. It was a Godsend that was ordained to happen. We are all heartbroken yet we know she is with our Lord a Savior.

While they were preparing to go back to Texas my nephew Christopher kept working at day labor jobs to raise money for them to get back on. Here again, while doing the right thing and leading by example, Christopher, tragically and unexpectedly died.

So now Rosy, my wonderful sister is left devastated. First, her mom died and now her son. She is very dismayed right now and needs our prayers. Christopher was 30 years young, single and had no life insurance.

The day before Christopher died all he kept talking about was, “getting back home to Texas”. I’ve never used a GoFundMe resource before for anything but here I am using it to help my sister raise the funds needed to fly Christopher back to Texas where he can have a decent funeral along with a memorable service that he has earned through his caring heart. I am asking for donations to help cover the cost associated with Christophers' flight back, his funeral, his memorial service and his burial.
