My mother, Debby Bowsher, has been a recognized member of the Mayne Island community for 6 years. Most of you know her from the bakery. She worked for Linda and Bruce Steel for 5 years.

She has been self employed the past two years and was doing well until faced with a series of financial challenges, including having to purchase a vehicle, and a substantial veterinarian bill. Then with inflation and the added cost of living on the island she is struggling to cover her rent, car loan and other expenses.

Mom has lived in an old 19ft motorhome with no laundry for the past 3 years and needs to relocate off island to find suitable housing and work. However, she can't afford the cost to move, plus rent, pet deposit, utility deposits, etc.

I have spent a lot of time on Mayne Island and know it to be a close-knit community, that believes in supporting one another during difficult times. Mom needs a new start and your contribution can make a significant difference in helping my mother regain her financial stability and peace of mind.
