Hi, my name is Lois Lawrence, I'm establishing this fund to help my younger sister, Dawn Wiesel, deal with the financial burden of a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis.

Dawn, 67, is a sweet and wonderful person. After suffering for months with back and leg pain, and rounds of cortisone shots, she was finally diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. That was two months ago. She has seen an oncologist who ordered treatment but she has yet to receive her first round of chemotherapy because of insurance glitches and other delays outside of her control. For now, she is only receiving symptom meds.

Her husband is by her side and doing everything he can to help but he is disabled himself and the financial burdens promise to be overwhelming. They are both hardworking and devoted to one another, but have always lived simply within their means like most of us.

Of course her family will rally around but cannot fill the gap on our own. Anything you can do to help ease the burden will be greatly appreciated.
