Hello, my name is Kristen and for those of you who don’t know, Dara is my ride or die bestie. This woman has been there for me beyond reason and circumstance, as I know she has for so many people in her circle. She is always the first one to drop everything and rush to help. (Including donating her kidney to my mom 18 years ago, helping her through cancer treatment, moving my whole apartment to BC for me when I realized I needed to stay here to look after my mom, and very recently living in the hospital with me during mom’s last weeks - she passed October 30th.) Well now she needs our help. 5 days after returning home after we lost my mom, Dara’s partner Dean had a stroke. He was air lifted to Calgary for surgery 24 hours ago and is now in post surgery recovery. He cannot move or feel his right side or swallow at this time. Dean is a business owner/welder and Dara worked the administrative side of the business, so that leaves them both without income during this very challenging and terrifying time. Please help if you can, so Dara is able to cover household bills and expenses while helping Dean to recover. She would never ask, but they really need our help. Please share far and wide.
