Donate to Help Dan Burgetz and His Family

My name is Melissa Rice, sister to Kelly Burgetz. Countless people are now praying for and supporting Dan Burgetz's recovery from a severe accident, Saturday, May 14th. A fall down some stairs and hitting his head, has lead to Dan being hospitalized and in critical care at Hamilton General Hospital. We do know that he has suffered Traumatic Brain Injury, but do not yet know to what extent. He has not yet woken and is on a respirator. Our greatest hope is that Dan awakens soon and can return to his family. However, there is a great chance that he may need months (if not longer) of rehabilitation if he does wake.

Kelly is back and forth daily to Hamilton and their 3 children, Kaela, Josh and Jayden are home, trying very hard to attend school and their part-time jobs. Their world has suddenly been turned upside down. I am attempting to raise funds to help the Burgetz family through this heartbreaking and extremely challenging time.

Anyone who knows Dan knows that he loves life to the fullest. You also know his family means everything to him. His heart is entire when he is with his family. Dan is one of those who is constantly giving, whether it be love, energy or time.

We really need Dan back. We pray every day that this will be the day he opens his eyes. Until then, his family can use all the love, support, and prayers.
