Hi, my name is Daina Mckenzie, and I am entering the second year of my architecture major at Mohawk College in Ontario, Canada. I find myself filled with both excitement and determination. I have completed my high school career at St. Andrew High School for Girls in St. Andrew, Jamaica, and am the first in my family to attend college overseas. Having completed my first year & made the Dean's List twice, I have not only increased my love for this area but also gotten more confident in my skills and creativity. Architecture has always been more than just a field of study for me—it's a passion that has shaped my dreams and aspirations. The journey so far has been enriching, but it has also brought with it financial challenges. I had acquired a loan to cover the first year, but to continue pursuing this dream, I'm seeking financial support.
