Damjan "Dado" Sretovic is a cheerful 20-year-old student from Kraljevo, Serbia with a life-threatening medical condition that requires immediate surgery. Dado has had a chest wall disorder called "Pectus excavatum”, where his breastbone is sunken into the chest, since childhood. With years, and especially since puberty, this condition has worsened, despite Dado's best efforts to battle it with swimming and exercise/physical therapy. As he's been getting tired quickly and breathing with great difficulty lately, a recent visit to the foremost surgeon for this condition in Podgorica, Montenegro determined that he needs immediate surgery. Dado's ribs are pressuring his lungs and heart. He is breathing with only one fifth of the capacity and the heart is returning a portion of blood. His only hope is a surgery in Medigroup, a private clinic in Belgrade, Serbia, performed by the same surgeon who diagnosed him in Podgorica. The surgery will cost around $10,000 (U.S. dollars). The surgery is scheduled for September 27, 2023. This is an urgent plea, on behalf of Dado's parents and sister, to help Dado have a chance to survive, and lead a normal life again. Damjan "Dado" Sretović je veseli dvadesetogodišnji student iz Kraljeva sa zdravstvenim stanjem koje ugrožava život i zahteva hitnu intervenciju. Dado je rodjen sa poremećajem grudnog koša, "Pectus Excavatum", gde mu je grudna kost utopljena u grudi. Tokom proteklih godina, naročito od puberteta, stanje se stalno pogoršavalo, uprkos Dadovim naponim vežbama i plivanjem. Pošto se u poslednje vreme brzo umara i teško diše, nedavnom posetom najistaknutijem specijalisti za ovu bolest u Podgorici utvrđeno je da mu je potrebna hitna operacija. Dadova rebra pritiskaju njegova pluća i srce, i on diše sa samo petinom kapaciteta, a srce vraća deo krvi. Njegova jedina nada je operacija u privatnoj beogradskoj klinici, Medigrupi, koju bi izveo isti hirurg koji ga je pregledao u Podgorici, i koja će koštati oko 10.000 dolara. Ooperacija je zakazana za 27. septembar 2023.
