Donate to help Cyclone Victims in Western Myanmar

Donation protected
Hello, This is Sha Maung and Ta Tun Oo, we are native Rakhine, live in Brisbane, Australia. On behalf of the people of the Rakhine community, we are trying to raise funds for emergency assistance such as food, medicines, and clothes for those who are now affected by Cyclone Mocha in northern Rakhine, Myanmar. According to our observations via local news and speaking to our sources, hundreds of people are feared to have died after a powerful cyclone hit Rakhine state in Myanmar on Sunday the 14th, with rescue groups warning of “a large scale loss of life” following one of the strongest storms to ever hit the country. Nearly 90 percent of the houses in nine townships of Rakhine state including Sittwe, Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, Maungdaw, Buthidaung, and Rathedaung, were destroyed after the storm made landfall. And the entire camps in these townships for internally displaced persons (IDPs), which had been sheltering from armed conflict and communal violence, are also included in the destruction.

Full of the donated funds will go directly to the people in northern Rakhine severely affected by the storm through a collective emergency organization who are now on the frontline.

Thank you for your generous support of the people of Rakhine State.
