Donate to help create a school for children in the DRC

Hello everyone, my name is Claudine Barrington-Cook and I am raising funds to buy supplies for the school I am creating in Congo. As I lived in the UK for over 30 years, I have seen how the education system in this country is better, how the importance of learning to read and write is emphasised and how the conditions in the classrooms are better here. I have been to schools in my country where there were no books in the class, no desks or even no roofs. The children are packed into classrooms and when it rains, no classes can be run.

The funds you will be donating are not just going into buying supplies for the school - you are helping me provide these children with an actual place to study and learn, in the way that children can in the UK.

More specifically, I am using the funds to buy exercise books, desks, pens, pencils and uniforms. If we reach our goal, we are hopefully aiming to also buy a computer for the school, to introduce them to technology that is commonplace in the UK.
