Hi All,

For those that know her, Nova is a special pooch who fills an important role in my life these last few years. Right now, unfortunately, she has been very sick - on and off again - with a mix of GI and seemingly kidney-related issues. As a result of this she has had to undergo repeated testing and examinations which unfortunately are very expensive but worth it for her health.

To speak a bit about myself and why Nova has filled a special role in my life, I am a disabled Marine veteran who is unable to work due to some of my conditions and at times life itself is a bit too much for me. Nova, however, true to her SuperNova moniker, came to my rescue and has taken up tasks not just as a companion animal but also does tasks typically reserved for psychiatric service dogs in helping me go about living as normal a life as possible. This is all to say that unfortunately between my conditions, as well as payments regarding a recent family tragedy and covering medications and appointments the VA won't cover for me, I am in need of some assistance in taking care of some of Nova's medical needs. Due to my situation, I always practice a Nova and bills first approach to my finances without deviation. Right now though there has been conflict due to the issues aforementioned and now with Nova needing repeated treatments, testing and examinations which all are typically in the hundred to couple hundred dollar range we are in need of help to make sure she is getting the care she needs right now while they are figuring out the root cause of her recent illness. She has an upcoming test for tick-borne illnesses which alone will cost $400 for the test and if I could reach even just that goal I'll be happy as I have paid for most of her recent testing minus that upcoming one. Any additional donations will go towards covering additional fees for tests and vet visits as needed and upon resolution any remaining funds will be divided between restoring Nova's emergency vet fund I have depleted this year and donated to her rescue, Canine Rescue of Central PA!
