My kitty Zoe has been a loving member of my life for about seventeen years now, and she's been in great health and a great companion throughout. As I write this today, however, she unexpectedly broke her front leg in a place that will require surgery. I'm not even sure how she broke it, but probably landed wrong after jumping off of the bed or the couch -- she's still very spry for her age.

The surgery is estimated to be about $5000, and will take place on Monday September 16th or Tuesday September 17th. I have savings to cover the procedure -- in fact I've been working hard to save money just in case something happened to one of my cats -- but this is a big chunk of my savings, so I thought I would ask if anyone wants to help ameliorate the cost.

If my writing on my blog or in my books or in my classes has ever brought you some joy, please consider helping out. Zoe has brought me joy for some many years, and I'm not ready to let her go just yet.
