Promise Ohiri (Empress Cookie), a trans woman and activist survivor living in Nigeria, is in need of community support and rental mutual aid support in order to keep a roof over her head whilst navigating her health issues.
Based on the current situation in Nigeria and the society being a violently homophobic and transphobic country, I am currently in danger because I don't have any resources to renew my apartment lease. My landlord is threatening to move me out if I can't pay up in a due time which Is very close .
I'm asking you people to please kindly assist me with funds to keep me safe.
Nigerian transphobia has affected my ability to find a job, because they see trans women as evil and don't want to associate with us. Without a job, I am not able to eat or get money for my needs
I don't want to experience what I experienced past in my life again, from being forcefully gang-raped to humiliated, having my life threatened and being sexually abused - all because I am homeless and don't have accommodation of my own.
I am a transgender woman, and not an experiment for people to use and threaten my life every time.
