Hi, my name is Lizzie. I’m creating this Go Fund Me on behalf of Colin Matthews, without his knowledge. He is a very proud man so wouldn’t except it in any way. The fact of the matter is that our beloved King of the Barbican really needs this right now.

Colin is well renowned for his front of house hospitality on Plymouth’s Barbican venue ‘Bar Rakuda’. You may also know him as the jacket potato man who brought smiles and free spuds to Plymouth’s city centre.

Colin has relentlessly been raising money for various charities throughout his career and only recently piled much of his own money into hiring studio time for himself and other Plymouth artists to create an album of which proceeds benefit one of his endeavoured charities, ‘Children’s Hospice Southwest’

Colin has recently been through life’s trials and tribulations, both physically and mentally. Although he would kill me for saying that and making this Go Fund Me.

He’s a dear friend of many, and how wonderful it would be if we could give something back to him which would help his mobility and happiness- on the hush, of course.

He is the staple of Plymouth’s community, in particular, The Barbican. I know that this would make him very happy. Please share and spread the word, and as Colin would say, “Spread the Bar Rakuda Love”
