Anyone who has spent time with Claudia and Johnny would describe them to be full of kindness, wit, wisdom or just a knee-slapping good laugh.

People who are surrounded by the Arce duo are lucky. I mean they are freakin’ hysterical. We’ve all experienced the impact they’ve made of those friends, foes or otherwise over the years, considering their generosity, humbleness or genuine way of being and the way they can bring light into a room.

Number 5 of what is like 31+ Silva nieces and nephews, I’d speak for all of us when saying Claudia and Johnny have been reliable confidants or second parents. It really is the coolest thing. This makes the unfortunate news profoundly difficult to hear and cumulatively we’d all give what we could to make this situation go away.

Last November, Claudia underwent a hysterectomy where, during the procedure, a large leiomyosarcoma was discovered and removed. A few months later, an oncologist discovered remnants of the sarcoma had grown rapidly. Specifically 2 tumors but 4 areas of concern.

Claudia was then diagnosed with a rare type of aggressive and fast-growing cancer with a prognosis of minimal treatment options as her type of leiomyosarcoma lacks a specific protein to be treated.

On April 15th, Claudia and Johnny traveled to MD Anderson Houston to receive critical and time-sensitive treatment options for the rare and rapidly growing aggression of this cancer. On Monday, April 24th, Claudia will fly to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta for more evaluation to begin treatment.

Undoubtedly, with the quick and fateful series of events, Claudia and Johnny remain in the best of spirits considering and entirely humble as not to ask, but logistical expenses in these situations are inevitable. A contribution of any kind would help alleviate unnecessary monetary stress during this time. And as a family we all pray for the best of outcomes while they proceed with what is necessary to fight this.
