I’m honored to have been invited to join the USA National Men's Deaf Volleyball team! For the 2024-2025 season, our team will practice and compete in 8 events across the U.S. and internationally including Washington, D.C., Columbus, Los Angeles, Denver (twice), and most excitingly, the Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan!
This incredible opportunity takes place November 12–27, and with your support, I can turn this dream into reality.

*5th World Deaf Volleyball Championships - Okinawa, Japan (2024)
*25th Summer Deaflympics Tokyo, Japan (2025)

About Chris:
I was born with severe hearing loss and received bilateral cochlear implants at the age of 4, thanks to MedEL Corporation. I began my auditory-verbal education at Child’s Voice School in Wood Dale, and proud to return as a guest speaker at their “Cheers to Child’s Voice” event in 2023
At 9, I transitioned to St. Hubert Elementary, following in the footsteps of my older brothers, Thomas and Martin. I joined the school’s volleyball team and later enrolled with Pipeline Volleyball Club to further develop my skills.
In high school, I played varsity volleyball all four years at Schaumburg High School. Now, I attend Benedictine University in Lisle, where I’m majoring in Computer Science and playing NCAA volleyball with the BenU team.

Why Your Support Matters:
Unlike the USA Olympic and Paralympic teams, the Deaflympics doesn’t receive major institutional funding. This means athletes like me need to raise their own support to compete on the world stage.
I am raising funds to help cover my travel, lodging, entry fees, equipment, and trainings. The estimated cost is $6,000+, every dollar brings me closer to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Did You Know?
The Deaflympics began in 1924 (before the Paralympics started in the 1960s) as the “International Silent Games” in Paris. It was the first-ever international sporting event for athletes with a disability, and it continues to represent inclusion, resilience, and elite athleticism. I’m honored to carry that legacy forward.

❤️ Every Dollar Helps
Even if you’re unable to give financially, sharing this page with others who might want to support my journey is a huge help. No donation is too small, your encouragement means the world to me!

2024 Recap:
This year, our team placed 4th in the World Deaf Volleyball Championships in Okinawa, narrowly missing the Bronze Medal after a tough match against Ukraine. We're more motivated than ever to bring home a medal at the Deaflympics in 2025!
